I was listening to Joni Eareckson Tada on the radio. She said that every time we smile in the face of disappointment or every time we don’t get discouraged when things look bad, we put a block in the face of Satan which stops him from continuing in that disappointment. Also, by doing so, we build an altar unto the Lord thanking Him for His grace and goodness. I’m sure that Joni Eareckson Tada, who is a quadriplegic due to a driving accident, has had to face many disappointments and hardships most of us will never have to face. But she has learned to smile in the face of disappointments which stops Satan from continuing in them. We all need to learn this lesson. James 4:7 tells us to “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Thought for Today: Don’t allow Satan to get a strong hold in your disappointments, but look to God and He will give you grace to continue on.
