What comes to mind when you think of a life well lived? To some it might be the life of a person who had it all – wealth, health and fame. To others it might be the life of a person who loved his family and friends. But to God, a life well lived is a life lived for Christ. Physically, materially or relationship wise, a person might of had it all according to the world’s eyes, but what counts is according to God’s eyes. In light of a coming accountability we need to live godly, for God shall surely judge us all and hold us accountable for every idle word, every idle thought and every idle deed. This is a sobering thought. God knows our every footstep and He has them numbered. He knows every breath left for us to breathe. Whether in health or sickness, wealth or poverty, with family or alone, a life well lived is a life lived for Christ.
Thought for Today: God gave us this life to glorify Him, and we will have to give an account for how we lived. May we live our life for Christ.
