As Christians we should have a beauty of holiness. Psalms 96:9 says, “O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.” In holiness, is where you will always find the LORD. Beauty of holiness is not an outward appearance, but an inner beauty – the right attitude, good thoughts and godly behavior. Holiness begins in the heart. Romans 6:22 says, “Have your fruit unto holiness.” This goes along with the fruit of the Spirit. Our inward attitudes are love, joy, peace and humility. Our outward attitudes are longsuffering, gentleness and goodness. Our personal life and behavior shows our faith, meekness and temperance. To have the beauty of holiness we are to look godly, talk godly and live godly. We are to be set-apart “from” the world and set-apart “for” God.
Thought for Today: May we seek to live a life that pleases God and possess the beauty of holiness.
