The Lord has been dealing with me lately to serve Him more, to love Him more and to give of myself to others more. Yesterday, our Sunday School lesson was on not being ashamed of the gospel. It said that we are to serve the Lord with our whole heart, soul and mind. We are to be faithful and have a heart for souls. We are to press on toward the mark of the high calling of God, and have a passion for God so that we may know Him. Philippians 3:10 says, “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.” These feelings that God is dealing with me basically started when one of our godly women in the church died. She was always busy for the Lord, faithful and serving. But her last words were, “I wish I had done more.” Wow, that really struck me. Won’t we all? Let us not be ashamed of the gospel, but let us give of ourselves for the Master.
Thought for Today: God deserves our best. May we strive to love Him more, serve Him more and give of ourselves more.
