God still speaks to us today. But how does He speak? Hebrews 1:1 tells us that God used to speak through the prophets, but today he speaks to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, through His Word. There are three ways God speaks to us: First, through His Word; Second, through an inward leading of the Holy Spirit; and Third, through circumstances. Amy Carmichael said, “One dare not do anything but obey when that Voice speaks.” To hear and know God’s Voice we first must be saved, stay in God’s Word, obey the inward leading of the Holy Spirit, and acknowledge that all circumstances are ordained by God. Oswald Chambers said, “God is in every detail. Never allow that the haphazard is anything less than God’s appointed order.” Once we hear God’s Voice and obey, God gives peace.
Thought for Today: God moves in mighty and mysterious ways and ordains all our circumstances.
