How does one draw into a sweetness and total confidence in the Savior? It is not something that comes naturally. It goes against our nature to completely abandon our own will, our own wants, our own desires, and our own logical thinking and just turn them over to a sovereign God. Not knowing where He may lead us or how it will all end makes it hard for us to trust in God enough to say, “What now, Lord?” Yet, scripture tells us to, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3: 5-6). This is when we have to believe that God loves us and He only has good for us. Then we can rest assured that no matter where He leads us it is for our good and God’s glory. “Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” (Psalms 2:12 ).
Thought for Today: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28).
