Trust Him

Dear Diary,

I’ve been praying and asking God to help me trust Him more.  Sometimes that can be a scary thing.  But if you truly trust Him you will turn all matters over to Him and leave them in His hands.  His ways are so far above us that we can never understand.  When I finally get to the place where I can sit on my suitcase in the rain, as Amy Carmichael did, and say, “Ok, Lord, what now?” then I’ve learned to trust Him.  It’s a life-long struggle, an up-hill battle, a constant challenge.  But, hopefully in time, through God’s grace, I will learn to trust Him; trust Him in all matters no matter how big or small; trust Him in all circumstances; all relationships; just trust Him.  Lord, help me learn to trust you, “as the earth which drinketh in the rain…” (Hebrews 6:7).  You shall water me when I’m dry and in need of drink.  You shall cloth me when I’m in need of protection.  You shall provide my daily portion.  From Thy hand all blessings are received.  None comes of it self, all comes from Thee.  Help me Lord, to trust more in Thee.

Thought for Today:  “Only Trust Him! Only Trust Him! Only trust Him now.

He will save you! He will save you! He will save you now!”

(John H. Stockton, 1813-1877)
