Many years ago now, I was at a ladies Bible Study and we were all sitting on the porch. I shall never forget it. I don’t remember what was said or what was read or done to bring this about, but for the first time in my life it became very clear to me that the sins I was committing were not the sins you would normally think of as sin, such as: stealing, killing, adultery; but, my sins were: wrong attitudes, motives and an ungrateful heart. This new understanding, though simple, was an astronomical revelation, and it changed my life forever. Little do we consider the importance that our attitude, thoughts and motives to God. Most of us go through life thinking that as long as we are not committing the larger obvious sins that we are not sinning; where in reality, the little sins are just as much of an offense to God as the bigger sins, and Christ had to die for them all. So often we forget that God sees deeper than our outward acts; He see our heart.
Thought for Today: Sin is sin, and to God one is no greater than the other. “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10).
